Who am I?

The dream: Finish Uni (Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Information Technology, QUT), get a job in a web design studio, use the income to try to fund a band. Release an EP, do a follow-up tour and make an impact on the world. Make some people go “What?” Make plenty of friends and retire with a pretty woman with a handle on the English language.
Who’s the one? Right now, “The One” is indeterminate. To me The One is first-of-all Christian. No matter if you’re a 9.5, if you don’t pass on the Christianity scale, you’re out! Second is that The One is intelligent. She knows what she’s talking about, and knows what I’m talking about. Third: The One is passionate. There is something driving her life. There is a dream and it pushes her forward and fills her eyes with a fire. Fourth and finally, she doesn’t look too bad. The point here is that all the previous factors feed into number 4. That’s what makes it for me.
Artists I admire: Music: Jamiroquai, Pendulum, Deadmau5, Dream Theater, Two Door Cinema Club, Muse, Breakbot, Mord Fustang, Milieu, Mr. Moustache, Porter Robinson, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Temper Trap, August Burns Red, Cyclamen, Periphery Graphic Artists: Chuck Anderson (nopattern), Chris Hastings (Doctor McNinja), Ethan Nicolle (Bearmageddon) and my good buddy Jordan Geizer (Digitalize)
If you wanted to know about me, that’s about all I can think about at the moment. If you want to know about my work, keep going!
What do I use? In case you’ve come from somewhere else (Youtube, Flickr, dA) I use Adobe Master Collection CS5 for all of my computer-based work. AfterEffects and Premiere for video. Photoshop for image grading - see GuideGuide in terms of plugins. Fireworks Illustrator for graphic and logo creation generally. Dreamweaver for web.
In terms of cameras, I own a Nikon F-601, generally with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D, Nikkor 24mm f/2.8E AI-S or a Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6AF for tele attached these days for my personal pictures. For filming and projects, I use a Nikon D7000, which isn’t great (for filming) but I won’t complain. (Seeing this you might think I’m a Nikon fan, but honestly, I prefer Canon - both of these are hand-me-downs and loans from the olds respectively) My PC is a custom self-build based around an AMD Phenom II X4 940BE (3.0GHz Quad - 8GB DDR2) Intel Core i7 3430k (3.2GHz-4.8GHz Hex Core; 16GB DDR3).
Music! My baby at the moment is a Schecter Hellraiser 5 (Ruby) into a Line 6 LowDown HD400 (Jen) into a MarkBass 102P (Amber). I currently still have my first two basses - an Ibanez BTB200 (Stephanie) and an E-Tunes Supplies (woop) 4-String (Jane). Also on the old gear roll is my first amp - E-Tunes Supplies 1x8” 40W (Great as a distortion stage) and my old faithful Eden Nemesis 115 Silver Line 120W (Martha). I did spend quite a lot of my younger years producing in FL Studio 5, but nothing I’d ever want to broadcast to the world.
I like cars; Currently, I’m driving a 2003 Renault Clio, but would love to buy a Datsun 240Z sometime in the near future.
